HF Mobster and Jordan Larson made their way to Lexington for the 2014 Kentucky Reining Cup. Upon arrival they noticed that Mobster wasn’t feeling well. It was confirmed shortly after that he had shipping fever. The Larson team made sure Mobster could get as much rest as he could before being shown — which meant less preparation riding him before being shown. Despite all this, Mobster and Jordan had an incredible first go and scored a 223! By this time, Joey was back to feeling good and he gave it all he had.
The team competed again in the second go of the competition in the morning on Sunday, April, 27. Mobster stepped it up a notch and laid down a big score of 225! At the Kentucky Reining Cup, there are two go’s and the composite score is what determines the final placing. Their composite score of 448 landing them a spot on the US Reining Team this fall at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France! A huge thank you goes out to the whole Larson Performance Horses team.
